Sheridan County Airport Improvement Project
Sheridan County Airport is beginning a major improvement project that includes:

Realignment of Taxiway A (East end)
-
Expansion of the GA taxi lane and apron
-
Removal of connectors A-2 and A-3 (A-2 will be reconstructed)
Timeline:
-
Contractors mobilize: September 8
-
Construction begins: September 10
-
Work will pause during winter and resume in spring 2026, continuing through summer.
Operational Impacts:
-
Runway 6/24 will be closed to takeoffs and landings for much of the project, but open for taxiing.
-
Lighted X’s and taxiway wands will mark closures.

Check NOTAMs before every flight.

GA traffic to Runway 33/15 must taxi via A-1 → Runway 24 → A-3
